Mr. Wood received his Master’s of Social Work from the University of Michigan and his Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University, where he majored in psychology. As a licensed therapist, Dan has experience providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy for adults and adolescents. He enjoys helping his clients to navigate life on their own terms; providing an authentic person-centered environment that allows for his clients to be explorative, gain personal insight and positive outlook, and build confidence to sustain meaningful change. Dan specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, relational and marital difficulty, self-esteem, grief and loss, eating disorders, anger management, mood disorders, PTSD, and childhood trauma. Dan likes to tailor treatment to meet the specific needs of his clientele and utilizes Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and solution-focused approaches in helping his clients to achieve their goals.
